Mid-way

Time has flown by quickly. I am subconsciously aware that I am already in the month of July, which means my Honours year is actually half way through. Recently I have been busy with conducting in-depth interviews with Chinese patients. The research experience has blown me away. There were a number of 'wow' moments, including spending 20 hours after each interview to transcribe & translate the content. Meanwhile, i have also been looking at literature articles on the Chinese cultural view of health - how looking through a lens does not only change what you see, but also how you feel, react and initiate actions. I must say I was absolutely fascinated. While I am working more on the project, I realise I gain another dimension of understanding of self & culture. Maybe this is what keeps me going.
