Another Hair-Cut
Today, I had my second hair-cut in the week. Never thought i wld ever cut my hair within such a short time. However, after so much of tolerance of my bad hair over the last few days, daddy n mummy eventually got me to go for another cut. Finally, got some shape now, n my head feels much lighter. Although the aftermath of last cut still remains, i m much satisfied this time. I swear i ll never go to that stupid saloon again!

Life Taken
Today when going out for grocery shopping with parents, we witnessed a fatal accident on our way back. Horrifying was the word. The young boy, with brain matter throwing out of his skull, was lying in the middle of the road, covered with blood. No first aid. No life saving. No one even went offering a hand. Everyone was by-stander, watching as if it was just a show. Does the education level of a country make the society acts in such an inhuman sad way? With no respect of human life? I wonder if someone actually tried saving that boy, would he be saved? What a sad display of this under-developing country…

冬至要吃湯圓
“湯圓making” Take TWO. Returning to China in the afternoon, and without further ado, Mummy and I started our “湯圓making”. With my previous experience at 18 Marshall + Mummy’s old memory of my Grandpa’s 湯圓, we kneaded the dough with laughers, joy and love. Haha… Mum kept saying my dough look too dry/un-sticky/unfamiliar to her. But nevertheless, we balled them up into individuals, crossing my fingers n hoping my 湯圓 wld somehow turn out alright. Haha.. Guess what? This time they looked n TASTED like 湯圓!! Daddy n Mummy were quite satisfied though not very sweet. Haha.. Now we kept some in the freezer for Koko to try when he comes back. Yeah~!

Modification Me
Early this morning, I went to see the dentist to get my decayed tooth fixed. Ha.. The dentist told me my teeth are very healthy except for this small hole, but now fixed. This dentist visit allowed me to learn an economic fact. It is much cheaper to buy tons of toothpaste n brush my teeth twice a day than visiting the dentist once in a blue moon. (my face almost turned green when I paid…) So I must keep my teeth clean! Anyway, after that, I went to the hair-dresser, planning to trim n tidy up my one-semester-long hair. However, the hair-cut was very very unsatisfactory. The stupid hair-dresser simply cut my hair short in length n not improving the overall look. I look so nerdy now. I m cursing him so often now. *argh!!!* At night, I went to watch 大戲 with Mummy + 3 aunties. Honestly, it was an auntie activity (the hall was filled with aunties over the age of 50 in average!) but I just joined in to have a greater understanding of the Chinese traditional art. The costume, storyline, n even the enthusiasm of those aunties in fact surprised me. 50+ year-old hot fans!! Hahahaha…

Go Mine Gold
Go Mine Gold! A day trip to Ballarat, Sovereign Hill. Although the day started a bit late for lazy sleepers, n we indeed lost our way there, we managed to reach the gold mine before lunch. What an interesting place to visit. We got to see what miner life was in the olden days. Did some mine tours, watched the shows n experienced a little of gold mining in a dirty river. Haha.. However, it was a pity to have limited time there. But nevertheless, it has been a long happy day, but definitely tiring for our two destinated drivers. Thank u.
For these few days going out with friends' parents, it was really funny. We all have transformed back into kids~ Was treated like kids, n in turn, acted as kids.. Hahaha..

Grad Day
14th Dec - Graduation Day 2006. Today I witnessed five of my friends graduating, who included my best buddy. Running from one studio to another.. Handling the families for friends.. Taking photos n more photos.. But honestly, really, i can say i did not regret staying back in Melbourne for today as I was there to withness my friends' big day. I felt the joy, contentment, satisfaction, thankfulness, pride in the eyes of the graduads as well as the parents. It wasn't like watching a show anymore, i was simply infected with the happiness. Really hope that next year this time, I ll be doing my parents proud too~

They are all getting anxious!
They are all getting anxious for the Big Day! 2 more days~ Many parents are arriving - Tammy's family came on Sunday; Wan Yi's this morning & Kheng Ling's tomorrow morning. I believe Melbourne is now crowded with parents~ Very happening indeed. For me, i feel very much like watching a show, but which, also requires me to learn dealing with uncles n aunties. And of course, I m trying to be a good host for Kheng Ling's parents - managed to clean my house yesterday n wash my car today. Yup, already! Anyway, meanwhile, as the day approaching, it also means i m going back home soon, calling an end to my holiday in Melbourne. Will be seeing my family again, but also leaving my friends behind.

Weather Too HOOOOT!
If there is anything I dislike about Melbourne, it wld be the hot hot weather during summer. Today is 39C! OMG! I feel like melting now. Even the wind from outside is hot. Hai~ Pls cool me down~~

Dietetic Outing
Dietetic outing at the Dockland. Haha.. Today I had a happy dietetic outing with Janet, Sara, Wen Chiann n Kheng Ling (dietetic?!). Lunch wasn't much special but our laughters on our own stupidity was the highlight. It was joyful to spend time catching up, n learning what one another have been doing for the holiday. We go through the academic hard times together, which makes our bond stronger. Just a few words, n I could feel it - the friendship. Anyway, i really did feel extra comfortable today, with my dietetic friends.
Anyway, heard a scary news today. More than half of the Alfred 4th yr were given supplementary.. And one more international is joining us next yr.. Is it sounding more n more scary? OMG~

Shrine of Remembrance
A day visit to the Shrine of Remembrance, a landmark in the Royal Botanic Garden for the remembrance to brave soldiers died at the great Australian wars. The architecture of the Shrine was built with contributes of mathematician, architects n some genius n put together a unique feature the Ray of Light. Although we missed the 11th Nov, n today isn't really any special ceremonial day, we decided to rock up this place anyway.

With Kheng Ling n Wan Yi, I think the sad sacrifice of the soldiers has simply been washed away. We in fact had laughed our way through the visit. We were silly at times. Hahahaha.. Look~
~~Trying to pretend to be Horses~~ Hahaha...

Befriending the Aussie Wildlife

A trip to Healesville Sanctuary today. I must say i was proud of myself driving such a long way there~ Haha.. Anyway, it was really nice to spend a day in the nature, seeing n learning about the Aussie animals. When u go learn something new, u realise how little of this world u know. I might be knowing human nutrition well, but when looking at Koala food, i was amazed. It was funny to know they actually eat shit. Hahaha.. Oh well, then somehow the koalas were so hyperactive today. This super lazy bear actually did some climbing, walking, jumping n eating for us. I think Kheng Ling n i were so impressed with them that we actually spent an hour taking photos of them. They are just adorable!! Ha... Besides, we got quite a few nice shots of the platypus~ Um.. yes, definitely a nice day-out.

3D Movie
First time watching a 3D movie, n it was cool. After the day interesting visit to the Melbourne Museum, we proceeded on to the IMAX next door for the 3D Open Season cartoon movie. When the movie started, n figures were jumping out of the screen, Kheng Ling n i couldn't help but to gasp. Dinosaurs walking right into us, raindrop falling right onto our legs.. I could feel to be at the scene itself! It was silly but really fun, to my opinion. Although our choice today was a cartoon, which might have made the effect less admirable, I did enjoy the technology. It was no doubt an experience. :)
