No Mercy

Last Friday the Japanese had their darkest day in history. A natural disaster brought the country an 9.0 magnitude earthquake + the scariest tsunami ever which had not just engulfed & destroyed the buildings & cars in many towns but also stolen lives & broken hearts. Day after day, the news has delivered yet more sad news. The death toll increased every hour. Yet in fact, the narrow-escaped survivors suffered far worse. The explosion of radiation plants had polluted the air they breathe, while more plants are threatening to explode. The food & water supply are diminishing. With the heavy snow in some parts, it is just adding more salt to the wounds. No shelter, no warmth, no food, no water, no clean air, some no family & loved ones. Japan has been one of the wealthiest countries, yet at this point, when nature gave no mercy, this strong country became so breakable.

It is scary to watch videos of the tsunami, stunning to see the towns being shattered, heart-breaking to share the never-ending news of losses. Many might have related this tragic disaster to what the Japanese had done at war-times, or to the whales, but if you ask me, i feel it is too much of a punishment no matter what. Although I never believe in God, I do want to pray for the Japanese now.

I think people get punished and awarded in some mysterious ways. The world is not unfair if we think thoroughly and widely. Somehow there are reasons behind punishment and award even if we cannot see sometimes...Just my opinion. :) All the best with your study, career and life.
